Hey-hey!

It's been too long since the last newsletter and I have a lot to share. So please bear with me.

First of all, please go check out the brand new, gorgeous nativephp.com and tell Hassan what an incredible job he's done.

📱 NativePHP for mobile

Some new releases have come along! We've got PHP 8.4.5, Push Notifications support, various bug fixes, reduced app size, and lots more!

On top of that, Shane has been sharing some exciting progress on Android support. Coming VERY soon.

Along with these releases I announced new pricing options. Along with our previous EAP license option (now called Max), we've got Mini and Pro.

Now is the BEST time to get a license. These EAP prices won't be around forever.

I've written up a post going into more detail of my thoughts on pricing and the positive impact this is having for this entire project.

Zephpyr

Eser, another NativePHP core contributor, has been super hard at work making Zephpyr work for your desktop apps. This is the security layer that's going to allow us to move into a final v1 release very soon.

Currently being trialled by sponsors. 🚀

NativeCLI & Starter Kit

NativePHP core contributor and all round good-guy, Pete, built and released NativeCLI that makes it even easier to get up and running with NativePHP.

And also found time to build our very first community starter kit for desktop that uses Laravel's custom starter kits feature.

Thanks Pete, these are awesome!

Fun fact: Pete recently jumped out of a plane for charity! 🪂

PHPacker

NativePHP core contributor and daddy to a beautiful new baby daughter as of Tuesday 🎉, Willem, has built a spiritual sibling to NativePHP called PHPacker and it looks incredible!

Great work, Willem! I don't know how you've done it in the middle of all the baby prep.

📺 Talks

All of the talks from Laracon EU are now online and freely available to watch. So many great talks, so many awesome speakers. It was an incredible event.

Watch me announce NativePHP for iOS.

Last week I spoke about NativePHP for mobile at PHP Melbourne, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I also had the great privilege of speaking at the Laravel Worldwide Meetup this week!

And tomorrow I'm going to be speaking to the amazing Laravel Artisans community. And finally on Saturday, I'll be joining the Laravel Moris meetup briefly 🗣️

That's it for this time. Thanks for making it all the way to the end. If you got this far and you tweet something nice about NativePHP (tag me: @simonhamp), I will send you something special.
